On Sunday, we packed our belongings and closed up our tiny house in the jungle. We made the seven hour journey back to the big city where we rented an Airbnb in a nice quiet neighborhood. It is the final countdown.

Monday. I spoke at the Ark of the Rainbow women’s event. It was my fourth year speaking at this amazing conference that celebrates godly women and how they impact their culture. The program includes worship, cultural dancing, recognition of women who have made special achievements, and two teaching sessions by me followed by a lunch fit for a wedding feast. There were over 220 in attendance and at least 20 raised there hands in response to the Gospel invitation. It was a good day.

On Tuesday and Wednesday Sal spoke at conferences heavily attended by district pastors and church leaders. The events were held at the Campus Crusade for Christ campgrounds. The topics included The Seven Churches and The Book of Daniel. What amazes me is the passion and zeal the delegates have to sit for several hours and not fall asleep. The hunger for sound biblical teaching is refreshing to experience in the dedication of these precious saints.

Overflow crowd filled the hall for Daniel!

As we approached this final week, my prayer was, “Lord, help us to finish well.“ God has exceedingly abundantly answered that prayer. It wasn’t just the programs that were presented, but it was the forging of new friendships. It was humbling to see pastors there who traveled 6 to 8 hours by train just to attend the conferences.  It was humbling to see women who attended the ladies conference on Monday return for two more days to hear the word of God at the 7 Churches and Daniel Conferences. The Lord has truly answered my prayer… And we are finishing well!

Aside from the teaching and widow ministries, much was accomplished over the past several months. Nine conferences were professionally recorded with translation to be used when we are not here in person; a new teaching pastor has joined the team and will be disciplining pastors in his district; another pastor was hired to assist with conferences in his district; the second Lighthouse Tutoring Program was planted in a small, remote village and teachers are being interviewed currently. Classes will begin this summer; The Zoom Academy (on-line classes) registration has jumped from 620 to 1220 with a waiting list that extends into 2027.

We stand amazed at God’s favor on Cross Angle Ministries. We give Him all the glory. Great things He has done. As we close this chapter, we echo the words of Psalm 65:11.

You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance.
