It has been a fast paced, fruitful few days in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu. We met with two pastor groups who studied online with Sal in 2023. It was good to meet and speak to these faithful servants of God in person. Sal spoke on the Second Coming and encouraged them to teach about the End Times in their churches. They happily received their certificates of achievement for completing the online session. Most, if not all, are planning to participate in the next class which will begin in June. Combined there were well over 350 in attendance.
Often conferences are held in crowded church halls without AC. That was the case at one of the two conferences in Chennai. No matter how warm or humid the air gets, no one seems to mind. They will sit for hours without complaint just to receive the Word of God. The unbridled worship and enthusiasm for the scripture gives a word picture of Psalm 122:1 which says, I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.
Many pastors bring their wives and children to the conferences. I am always amazed at the little ones who are in these services which last about four hours. There is no childcare or nursery, yet there seems to be a childlike respect that they are in God’s house.
We left Chennai on Sunday and we traveled by car (9 hours!) back to Bangalore to rest and buy provisions before heading to our jungle home on Wednesday.

Pray that sound teachings will go forth with power from the pulpits in Chennai.
Pray for the US team joining us next week to conduct kids programs. We are looking forward to a great time of serving and fellowship with them.
