The first full day of ministry for the team was filled with joy and blessings. Our mornings always begin with group devotion and prayer followed by a good breakfast.
We had a special morning meeting with the young widows on Wednesday. Fifteen of them came for a time of singing, devotion and gift giving. The ladies were so comfortable and happy to have the team visit. There seemed to be no shyness toward any of the “foreigners” as there had been in the past. Their response to the life giving message based on the birth of Jesus was exciting. Their faces were bright and happy as they heard how the God of the Bible loves the widows and fatherless children. Almost all came forward to ask for prayer for themselves and their families.
Vikki, Amy and Sophie wished each lady a Kristimus Valttakkal and gave her a sack of rice, while I handed her a money gift. We also gave each lady a small Christmas gift from the team. It was a great morning. Vikki and I look forward to meeting with the widows again in January.
Later in the day we visited the Masinagudi children’s feeding program. The children were so happy to see us and greeted us with great excitement. They entertained us by singing, dancing and reciting Scripture. Then came the meal which was served to the children by the Ryan family and Brad and Sophie. I know that serving dinner to these poor children was a blessing to the team and something they will never forget. It is a particular joy for Sal and me to visit the program year after year. We know many of the children since they were very small. We are happy to see them grow physically but also spiritually. Many of these children can recite entire chapters of Scripture even though they are mostly from Hindu homes. “So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isiah 55:11
It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas here. The camp is getting ready for the big event on Christmas Day. The team is rehearsing a special medley of Christmas Carols that we will be singing at each of the Christmas Eve services we will attend in the coming days. Lily and Emily will be reciting Luke 2 from memory as part of our “concert”. Each of us is seeing Christmas through a new lens. No hustle or bustle; no commercialism; no last minute shopping. Christmas is about Christ and Him alone. All the filters have been removed. The best Christmas ever!jordan release date | Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “UNC Patent” Obsidian/Blue Chill-White For Sale – Fitforhealth
